Western Railway’s Ahmedabad Division Loads First Wheat Mini Rake for ITC Ltd

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway has achieved a new milestone in freight operations with the loading of its first mini rake carrying wheat for ITC Ltd.
The wheat consignment was loaded at Kadi station in the Ahmedabad Division on August 9 and transported to NTW in the Mysuru Division. The movement also marked ITC Ltd.’s entry as a new freight customer and NTW as a new destination for the Ahmedabad Division.
According to the Ahmedabad Division, the mini rake generated freight revenue of ₹36.35 lakh. The initiative is expected to strengthen freight connectivity and expand the railway’s customer base and reach.
The division said, “This new freight movement marks a significant step towards strengthening rail freight connectivity, expanding customer partnerships and driving growth.” DeshGujarat
