Ahmedabad City Witnesses Rain on Tuesday Morning; Here’s Ward-Wise Data

Ahmedabad: The city woke up to a wet morning, with rain lashing several areas and increasing after 7 am. From 7 am to 9 am, some parts of the city received nearly 1 inch of rain. Kathwada was the worst-affected area, with nearly 1.8 inches of rain recorded during this period.
Other areas that received around an inch of rain included Vastral, Odhav Drainage Pumping and Hanspura, while Naroda, Sardarnagar, Odhav, Viratnagar and Nikol were also lashed by rain.
All wards of the city witnessed light showers until 9 am today, bringing relief from the heat and humidity that had persisted over the past few days.
As of now, three gates of the Vasna Barrage are also open, with an outflow of over 3,000 cusecs of water downstream into the Sabarmati River and canal.
Till today, the city has recorded 67.28% of its seasonal average (last five years) rainfall, receiving a total of 615 mm of rainfall so far. DeshGujarat
