Fire Erupts at Westfield Shopping Centre on Ghoddod Road in Surat

Surat: A fire broke out at a shop on the ground floor of Westfield Shopping Centre on Ghoddod Road, one of Surat’s busiest areas, triggering concern among traders, customers and visitors at the complex.

The incident was reported after black smoke was seen coming from the shop. The Surat Fire Brigade was alerted and quickly reached the spot. Firefighters brought the blaze under control before it could spread to nearby shops.

The shop’s contents were gutted in the fire, resulting in a significant financial loss to the owner. However, no casualties or injuries were reported.
