Western Railway to Extend Sabarmati – Jammu Tawi Express to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra

Sabarmati: For the convenience of passengers and to provide better connectivity, Western Railway has decided to extend Train Nos. 19223/19224 Sabarmati–Jammu Tawi–Sabarmati Express up to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.

According to a press release issued by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Train No. 19223 Sabarmati–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express will depart from Sabarmati daily at 10.25 hrs and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 18.55 hrs the next day. The extension of this train will be effective from the journey commencing on October 18, 2026.

Similarly, Train No. 19224 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Sabarmati Express will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra daily at 04.50 hrs and reach Sabarmati at 14.05 hrs the next day. The extension of this train will be effective from the journey commencing on October 20, 2026.

The above trains will have additional stoppages at Samba and Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan stations. Train No. 19223 will have an additional halt at Bari Brahman station. The trains will continue to run daily.

Consequential changes in timings of other trains

Consequent upon the extension of Train Nos. 19223/19224 up to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, the timings of the following trains will be revised:

1. Train No. 19415 Sabarmati–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express: With effect from the journey commencing on October 25, 2026, it will arrive/depart Jammu Tawi at 04.05/04.15 hrs and arrive at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 06.25 hrs.
2. Train No. 12919 Dr. Ambedkar Nagar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Malwa Express: With effect from the journey commencing on October 18, 2026, it will arrive/depart Jammu Tawi at 14.15/14.20 hrs.
3. Train No. 12471 Bandra Terminus–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express: With effect from the journey commencing on October 18, 2026, it will arrive/depart Jammu Tawi at 14.32/14.37 hrs.
4. Train No. 12473 Gandhidham–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express: With effect from the journey commencing on October 24, 2026, it will arrive/depart Jammu Tawi at 14.32/14.37 hrs.
5. Train No. 12475 Hapa–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express: With effect from the journey commencing on October 20, 2026, it will arrive/depart Jammu Tawi at 14.32/14.37 hrs.
6. Train No. 12477 Jamnagar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express: With effect from the journey commencing on October 21, 2026, it will arrive/depart Jammu Tawi at 14.32/14.37 hrs.

Bookings for Train Nos. 19223, 12919, 12471, 12473, 12475 and 12477, which were temporarily stopped for operational reasons, for journeys commencing from October 7, 2026, will open from August 21, 2026, and thereafter reservations will be available as per the Advance Reservation Period (ARP) of 60 days.
