Ahmedabad – Bhagalpur Amrit Bharat Express to Start Regular Service from Aug 26

Ahmedabad: Western Railway has decided to operate the weekly clone special train running between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur as a regular service. The train will now operate as train number 19423/19424 Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express.

The regular service of train number 19423 Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur Amrit Bharat Express will begin on August 26, 2026, while train number 19424 Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express will start its regular service on August 28, 2026.

Train number 19423 will depart from Ahmedabad every Wednesday at 6:30 pm and reach Bhagalpur at 6:40 am on Friday. In the return direction, train number 19424 will depart from Bhagalpur every Friday at 4:45 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 5:25 am on Sunday.

Main stations in both directions

The Amrit Bharat Express will halt at several important stations between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur in both directions. These include Anand, Chhayapuri, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Bhawani Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City and Bayana.

The train will also halt at Idgah Agra, Phulera, Goliyawasi, Subedarganj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara, Chhapra, Patna, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama and Sultanganj in both directions.

The train will have sleeper and general class coaches.

Bookings to begin from August 21

Bookings for train number 19423 will begin on August 21, 2026, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters as well as through the IRCTC website.

According to Western Railway, the regular service will further strengthen rail connectivity between major cities in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and provide passengers with a convenient weekly rail service. DeshGujarat
