IMD Forecasts Light Rain in Gujarat Till August 27

Ahmedabad: Gujarat has been experiencing light rainfall over the past few days, and similar weather conditions are likely to continue over the next seven days. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at several places across the state till August 27, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The forecast, valid from August 21 to August 28, comes as a low-pressure area over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas persists over the region. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level, while the monsoon trough continues to influence weather conditions across central and western India.

Overall, the IMD forecast indicates that rainfall will continue across Gujarat during the coming week, although its intensity and coverage are likely to vary from region to region. Saurashtra-Kutch is also expected to receive isolated showers during the forecast period.
