Declassified: Operation Sindoor’ on Discovery+

The docuseries, which premiered on August 15, 2026, on India’s Independence Day, explores how India’s military leadership deliberated and planned Operation Sindoor. It features first-hand accounts from National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and senior military officials.

Consisting of two episodes, the series chronicles India’s 88-hour military response following the 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam. The series comprises of two episodes titled: The Greenlight and Attack and Counterstrike. It features accounts from operatives and experts while documenting the deliberations and planning undertaken by India’s military leadership before the operation.

The logline of the series describes it as: “hard-hitting account of exactly what transpired in the 88-hour war from first-hand accounts from the people in India’s war rooms and at the frontlines of this battle between these two nuclear-powered countries”.

Along with first-hand accounts from top military officials, it includes real-time footages and images, lending authenticity and credibility to the narrative. The narrative manages to remain engaging while giving viewers a sense of being taken closer to the events and the people behind the crucial decisions.
