Over 7,000 Litres of Spurious Milk Destroyed in Jamnagar

Rajkot: Rajkot Range police raided six traders’ premises and nearby dairies in Haripar village of Jamnagar’s Kalavad taluka following inputs about the preparation and sale of synthetic milk, seizing 7,150 litres of suspected adulterated milk.
The team also recovered 120 kg of vanaspati ghee and 15 kg of milk powder, allegedly used to prepare synthetic milk.

Acting on Rajkot Range DIG Nirlipt Rai’s directions, Sub-Inspector C M Kanteliya and his team conducted simultaneous raids. Food safety officials were called in after suspected adulterated milk was found being prepared. They collected samples for testing and initiated action to seal the premises.
Police said the seized milk, vanaspati ghee and milk powder were destroyed as per procedure to prevent any potential health or environmental risk. DeshGujarat
