Alliance Air Launches Direct Flights Connecting Daman with Ahmedabad, Mumbai

Daman: The Union Territory of Daman has received a major boost to its tourism and transport connectivity with the launch of direct air services to Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The services, operated by Alliance Air from Tuesday, will allow tourists and local residents to travel between Daman and the two major cities by air at relatively affordable fares.

The new services are part of the Centre’s efforts under the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) scheme, which aims to make air travel more accessible to the common citizen by improving connectivity to regional destinations.

As per the schedule issued by Alliance Air, the flight will take off from Mumbai at 7:05 am and land in Daman at 7:45 am. It will then depart from Daman at 8:10 am and arrive in Ahmedabad at 9:20 am.

For the return journey, the flight will depart from Ahmedabad at 12:35 pm and reach Daman at 1:45 pm. It will then take off from Daman at 2:10 pm and arrive in Mumbai at 2:50 pm.

According to preliminary information, the introductory fare for flights from Ahmedabad to Daman is around Rs 1,800, while the fare from Daman to Mumbai is approximately Rs 2,200. The fares are expected to make air travel a cost-effective and time-saving option for passengers travelling between the destinations.

Daman’s Air Connectivity Expands

Daman was earlier directly connected to Delhi by air in July. With the addition of Ahmedabad and Mumbai, the Union Territory now has direct air links with three major cities.
