Pilot Held for Rash Driving Porsche at 110 km/h in Ahmedabad After Video Goes Viral

Ahmedabad: A 24-year-old pilot was arrested by Navrangpura police after allegedly driving a Porsche at high speed near Law Garden, putting other motorists at risk. Police seized the luxury car after a dashcam video of the incident went viral on social media.

The accused, identified as Arkan Tirmizi, a resident of Limbdia village in Gandhinagar, was arrested after a complaint was filed by a young man who alleged that the Porsche narrowly missed his car while being driven at around 110 km/h.

The incident came to light after Shreyansh, who was returning to his car near HCG Hospital after finishing work, reportedly saw the Porsche speeding towards him. The car was travelling at such a high speed that he narrowly escaped a collision. The incident was captured on his car’s dashcam.

Based on the video and the complaint, Navrangpura police traced the vehicle using its registration number. The owner was called to the police station, following which the Porsche was seized and a case was registered against the driver for allegedly driving recklessly and endangering the lives of others.

Police also began investigating another viral video that purportedly showed the same Porsche being driven at around 300 km/h.

According to the complaint, after the case was initiated, the driver contacted Shreyansh and identified himself as a pilot. He allegedly admitted that the Porsche was travelling at around 110 km/h when the Law Garden incident took place and repeatedly sought to have the complaint withdrawn.

The police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged reckless driving and the viral videos. DeshGujarat
