Nepal flood tragedy : Gujarati actress, part of Isha Foundation’s Kailash pilgrims group, safe in Tibet

Gandhinagar: Gujarati actress Manasi Parekh is safe in Tibet during her Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as part of the group led by Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

The actress who is wife of singer Parthiv Gohil had reached Kailash through Nepal. While one of the groups led by Sadhguru was potentially hit by floods on the Nepal-China border, Mansi, in a social media post, confirmed that she was safe in Tibet.

She stated: “Life is uncertain, but what has happened is absolutely heartbreaking. We are constantly praying for the people affected by this tragedy. By God’s grace, we are safe in China, and Isha Foundation is doing its best to get us back home as well as find those who are in the midst of the floods. Please keep praying for everyone’s well-being.”

Mansi also posted a video clip and stated that the same place where she had been welcomed so warmly five days ago is now submerged.

Posting a video of Gyirong Port in Tibet, which was destroyed by the floods, she said, “We were supposed to be here tomorrow morning.”

As many as 77 people from Isha Foundation are missing in Nepal. Sadhguru, in a video, said the missing group was at Gyirong Port when the floods hit the area.

Sadhguru posted an over-eight-minute-long video addressing the group of pilgrims, in which he expressed his desire to stay in Tibet for longer to offer possible help in the situation. The pilgrims who are part of Sadhguru’s group were heard weeping when Sadhguru announced the number of people missing in the flood tragedy. DeshGujarat
