Western Railway Installs Precast Pedestrian Subway at Vastrapur in Just 7 Hours 15 Minutes

Ahmedabad: A new precast pedestrian subway was installed at Vastrapur in Ahmedabad in just 7 hours and 15 minutes during an eight-hour railway traffic block on the night of August 25-26, completing the work 45 minutes ahead of schedule.
The work, carried out during the traffic block provided by Western Railway, included excavation, site preparation, installation of the factory-manufactured precast pedestrian subway and completion of the work.

The use of modern precast technology helped the railway authorities complete the construction quickly while maintaining safety and quality and minimising disruption to railway traffic.
The subway is expected to facilitate safer movement for pedestrians in the area and help reduce unauthorised crossings over the railway tracks.
The work was completed under the supervision of Ahmedabad Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Ved Prakash and Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) Pradeep Gupta, along with the Western Railway and Ahmedabad Division teams. DeshGujarat
