IIM Ahmedabad Student Alleges Obscene Gestures During Food Delivery; Swiggy Agent Held

Ahmedabad: A female student studying at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) in the city has alleged that a Swiggy delivery executive made obscene gestures towards her while delivering a food order.

According to her complaint, the incident occurred after the delivery agent initially told her that she looked like an “angel.” The student reported the matter to the police, stating that the agent allegedly began behaving inappropriately while she was completing the OTP verification for the order.

Police identified the accused as Nipam Dineshbhai Jat Thakkar, 37, a Swiggy delivery agent residing in Wadaj. He was arrested after the complaint was registered.

“We have arrested the accused and booked him under various sections of the BNS. Further investigation into the matter is underway,” said Vastrapur Police Inspector Gita Chaudhari.

Police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact sequence of events during the delivery. DeshGujarat
