Vadodara – Mundra Direct Air Taxi Service Kicks Off

Vadodara: A direct air taxi service between Vadodara and Mundra has been launched, providing faster connectivity between two of Gujarat’s major industrial and commercial centres.

Vadodara Lok Sabha MP Hemang Joshi announced the launch on social media. The service is expected to benefit industrialists, business executives and professionals travelling to Mundra Port and nearby industrial areas.

The regional air taxi network will also connect Mundra with Jamnagar, Diu and Rajkot, with return services on all three routes. According to the Fly Air Taxi website, bookings for the new routes opened on Friday. Fares are expected to range from Rs 499 to Rs 3,400, depending on dynamic pricing.

The expanded regional connectivity programme follows the launch of a direct Ahmedabad-Mundra flight service by Star Air on August 17.

Flights from Vadodara Airport to Mundra will operate daily. Three services — FAT 201, FAT 202 and FAT 203, are scheduled to depart at 6:30 am, 6:55 am and 7:20 am, respectively. An additional service, FAT 204, will operate at 7:45 am on Sundays.

The return schedule varies by day. From Monday to Thursday, FAT 305, FAT 310 and FAT 315 are scheduled to arrive in Vadodara between 6:32 pm and 7:22 pm.

On Fridays and Saturdays, FAT 319, FAT 323 and FAT 327 are scheduled to arrive between 6:21 pm and 7:11 pm. On Sundays, four return services, FAT 335, FAT 330, FAT 332 and FAT 334, are scheduled, with arrivals between 11:36 am and 6:26 pm.

The service will operate with limited seating, and passengers have been advised to book in advance due to the aircraft’s restricted capacity. The operator has also highlighted quicker check-in, comfortable seating and trained crew.

The Vadodara-Mundra route is expected to benefit frequent business travellers between central Gujarat and the Kutch industrial belt. Mundra is home to one of India’s largest ports and a major industrial and logistics hub, while Vadodara is an important manufacturing and commercial centre. DeshGujarat
