Monsoon Session of Gujarat Assembly Rescheduled

Gandhinagar: The upcoming monsoon session of the Gujarat Assembly, which was set to begin on September 8, has now been rescheduled to begin a day later.
The Governor of Gujarat had earlier summoned the ninth session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly to commence on September 8, 2026, through a notification dated August 3, 2026.
However, the Governor cancelled the earlier summons on August 31, 2026, and issued a fresh summons the same day. Accordingly, the Ninth Session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly will now commence on September 9, 2026.
The Ninth Session will be held for a total of three days, September 9, 10 and 11.
During the session, government business, government bills, the motion on the last day, and other business recommended by the Business Advisory Committee will be taken up.
In view of the change in the session dates, Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary has decided that starred questions will now be taken up during Question Hour on September 9, 10 and 11, a press release said. DeshGujarat
