Indian Railways Sanctions ₹125 Crore Bhavnagar Para Yard Remodeling Project

Bhavnagar: Indian Railways has sanctioned the Bhavnagar Para (BVP) Yard Remodeling project in Gujarat at an estimated cost of around ₹125 crore, aimed at easing congestion at Bhavnagar Terminus and strengthening rail infrastructure in the city.

The project will shift stabling and other operational activities to Bhavnagar Para, helping reduce rake detention, improve train movement and provide greater operational flexibility.

The remodeling will include four loop lines, an engine reversal line, ART and ARME sidings, a high-level passenger platform, widening of the existing platform, extension of the existing Foot Over Bridge (FOB) and construction of a new FOB.

The project will also include two Road Under Bridges (RUBs), along with relocation of the Station and EI building, service buildings, and associated electrical and signalling works.

Passenger facilities at Bhavnagar Para station will be improved with a new high-level island platform, wider Platform No. 2 and better FOB connectivity.

The project is expected to help streamline train operations at Bhavnagar Terminus while improving passenger convenience and overall railway capacity in the region. DeshGujarat
