Amit Shah’s upcoming Gujarat visit likely cancelled

Gandhinagar: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah’s three-day visit to Gujarat, scheduled from September 3 to 5, has been cancelled, according to reports.
Shah was scheduled to attend several programmes during his visit, including the inauguration and launch of various development projects in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
Several civic development works were planned to be inaugurated or completed in Gandhinagar, including programmes at Indroda and Gandhinagar Civil Hospital.
In addition, a number of programmes were planned in the vicinity of Sabarmati Railway Station in Ahmedabad. He was also likely to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami in his home state.
According to sources, the decision to cancel Shah’s Gujarat visit was taken due to unavoidable circumstances. Further details regarding the cancellation were not immediately available.
