IT Dept Searches at Jewellery Showroom in Vadodara

Vadodara: The Income Tax (IT) Department has been conducting a search operation at the showroom of CH Jewellers in Alkapuri, one of Vadodara’s prominent commercial areas, since early Thursday morning.

It is learnt that a large number of IT officials and employees reached the jewellery showroom and began examining documents and financial records as part of the operation.

The movement of customers and other people inside the showroom has remained restricted during the search operation.

The IT Department’s action at a prominent jewellery establishment in Alkapuri has also created concern among other major jewellers in the city. However, the department has not yet released any official details regarding the reason for the search or whether any discrepancies have been found.

Further details are expected to emerge once the search operation and examination of records are completed.
