Surat Airport launches free ‘Flybrary’ for passengers

Surat: A new Flybrary, an initiative of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), was launched at Surat International Airport on Thursday to encourage reading among air travellers.
Surat airport director Anand Sharma inaugurated the free initiative in the presence of Kumar Abhishek, CISF commandant and chief airport security officer at the airport. The Flybrary carries the message, “Read while you fly and drop the book at your next destination airport.”
The library aims to promote reading among passengers by offering them books to read during their journey or while waiting at the airport. Under the initiative, travellers can pick up a book of their choice and leave it at their next destination airport after reading it.
The programme is intended to facilitate the sharing and circulation of books across airports, helping build a wider reading community among air travellers. DeshGujarat
