Gujarat Govt Clears ₹13.02 Crore for Devmogra Temple Phase-2 Development Works

Narmada: Religious tourism in Gujarat’s tribal areas is set to receive a further boost with the state government approving a ₹13.02 crore Phase-2 development project for the Shri Yahamogi Mataji Temple at Devmogra in Narmada district.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi has approved the project, under which additional facilities will be developed within the temple trust premises. The Phase-2 works will include the construction of two new toilet blocks, a dharamshala and renovation of the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Yahamogi Mataji Temple.

Located in Sagbara taluka, the Shri Yahamogi Mataji Temple is an important centre of faith for the Devmogra tribal community and attracts devotees and tourists from the region.

The development is being undertaken in phases by the Gujarat Tourism Corporation with the aim of improving facilities for devotees and visitors.

Under Phase-1, facilities including a dharamshala, Central Vista, toilet block, stone entrance, parking area, pathways and 295 shops were developed at a cost of ₹11.33 crore. The first phase significantly improved basic amenities for visitors to Devmogra.

The newly approved Phase-2 project is expected to further improve accommodation, sanitation and visitor facilities at the temple complex.
