Neighbour’s Pet German Shepherd Attacks Woman in Ahmedabad; Dog Owner Booked

Ahmedabad: A 54-year-old woman was injured after a neighbour’s pet German Shepherd allegedly bit her in the Vastral area of Ahmedabad on Thursday evening.

The woman, identified as Kapilaben Prajapati, was stepping out of her house in Harbhola Park Section 2 to throw garbage when the dog approached her and bit her on the wrist of her right hand. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Kapilaben alleged that around four months ago, the same dog had also bitten her on her right leg near the ankle and on her left wrist, causing injuries. She also claimed that the dog’s owner, Dharmishthaben Prajapati, had kept the animal’s leash open without taking adequate safety precautions, posing a risk to others.

Following the incident, Kapilaben filed a complaint against Dharmishthaben at the Ramol police station.
