CISF Detains Two for Illegal Entry into Rajkot Airport Terminal

Rajkot: A security lapse was reported at Rajkot International Airport on Sunday after two men allegedly entered the terminal’s departure area through the D-3 departure gate while arriving to pick up their brother, an Army jawan who was arriving on a morning flight.

According to airport authorities, the incident occurred at around 9.30 am on September 6, when the two middle-aged brothers reached the airport to receive the jawan. Instead of waiting outside the terminal, they allegedly pushed open the D-3 departure gate and entered the restricted area.

CISF personnel deployed at the gate stopped the two men and questioned them about their presence inside the restricted area. During questioning, the men reportedly said they had entered to receive their brother and were unaware that they were not permitted to enter the terminal without a valid ticket or authorised access.

The two men were subsequently handed over to the airport police for further questioning. The incident has raised questions over security arrangements at the international airport. DeshGujarat
