Gujarat ANTF Nabs Rajasthan Police Commando With Mephedrone in Mehsana

Mehsana: The Gujarat Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), in a joint operation by its Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad zone teams, arrested a Rajasthan Police commando and a travel operator with 204.86 grams of mephedrone (MD) drugs near Mehsana railway station.
The seized drugs and other materials, including a car, mobile phones and a digital weighing scale, were valued at around Rs 11.34 lakh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Bhikharam Diparam Seol (Bishnoi), who is serving as a commando at the Mandore Training School of the Rajasthan Police, and Surajsingh Purohit, a native of Pali who currently runs a travel business in Bapunagar.
According to the preliminary investigation, the mephedrone was purchased from Prakash Dhaka of Jodhpur. Purohit allegedly travelled to Mehsana in his Aura car to collect the consignment.
The ANTF seized mephedrone worth Rs 6,14,580, an Aura car valued at Rs 5 lakh, three mobile phones and a digital weighing scale. The seized substance was sent for testing and was confirmed as mephedrone by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).
Based on a complaint filed by the ANTF, a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against the two arrested accused and alleged supplier Prakash Dhaka. Further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
