SMC to Trial Revised Water Supply Timings in Parts of Surat

Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) will conduct a three-day trial of revised water supply timings in the Puna area of Varachha from September 8 to 10 to address complaints of low water pressure and inadequate water supply.

As part of the measures, the civic body has divided the distribution network connected to Overhead Tank No. 08 (ESR-E8) near Puna Gam Lake under East (Varachha) Zone-A into two independent sections. The move is aimed at improving water pressure and ensuring adequate supply to residents.

During the trial period, water will be supplied to the affected areas in two time slots:

12 noon to 3:30 pm: New Foliyun, Punagam, Garas Foliyun, Parasmani Row House, Bapasitaram, Ramdevnagar, Pushpa Nagar, Shankar Nagar-1 and II, Arjun Nagar-II, Vallabhnagar, Krishna Nagar, Halpati Niwas, Shanti Nagar, Kalyan Nagar, Sardar Nagar-1, Laxmi Nagar, Maruti Dham, Khodiyar Nagar, Surya Nagar, Sardar Nagar-II, Shivaji Nagar, Akshardham, Samjula Park, Sundar Bagh and Deepmala.

4 pm to 9 pm: Sitanagar, Hare Krishna-A/B/II, Sattadhar, Baroda Farm, Radha Krishna, Kiran Park-B/C, Prabhudarshan-A/B, Satyanarayan Society, Pawan Putra, Parasamani, Paras-A/B, Dangigev-A/B, Divyashakti, Shubhalakshmi-A/B, Priyanka Palace, Bhoomi Park, Rajalakshmi, Ayodhya-A/B, Shanti Niketan, Sargam-A/B, Matrishakti-A/B/C/D/E, Nandanavan-1/II, Kevat, Geetanagar-1/II, Harekrishna-1/II, Amarjyot, Shivad-1/II, Shivanjali-1/II, Shivkiran-1, Shiva, Ankur, Tapovan, Amardeep-A/B/C/D, Asopalav, Deepmangal, Deepdarshan, Amardham, Anjaninagar, Akashganga, Bhagwati, Deepavali, Ajanta, Satyam, Haridasthan, Prannath, Wilson, Panchsheel, Riddhi Siddhi-1, Kailash, Ganesh-II, White House, Shivshakti-II, Krishnakunj, Madhav-II, Riddhi Siddhi-II, Bajrang, Khodiyar-B, Pranaam, Sagar, Raj Chamber, Khodiyar-II, Bharat, Shiv-II and Ganga Sadan.

The SMC has appealed to residents to store the required quantity of water during the designated supply hours, use water judiciously and cooperate with the civic administration during the trial.

The civic body said the initiative is part of its efforts to ensure a more systematic water supply and improve convenience for residents.  DeshGujarat
