Gujarat Medical Admissions: 2,212 MBBS, BDS Seats Vacant, Second Round Begins

Ahmedabad: As many as 2,212 medical and dental seats across Gujarat are vacant after the first round of counselling conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPMEC). The committee has now opened the second round of counselling, with 16,196 candidates eligible to participate.
The eligible candidates include 234 newly registered students whose names have been added to the provisional merit list for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026-27 academic year.
According to ACPMEC, candidates can fill or modify their choices online from September 7 to 11, with the process closing at 4 pm on September 11.
Of the 2,212 seats available in the second round, 1,587 are MBBS seats and 625 are BDS seats. The MBBS vacancies comprise 785 unallotted seats and 752 seats that became vacant after candidates did not report.
