PM Modi in Navsari inaugurates India’s first AI-powered ‘Namo Kamalam’ BJP office

Navsari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the country’s first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered, ‘Namo Kamalam’ BJP office near the Navsari Highway.

Following the inauguration, Modi toured various sections of the ‘Namo Kamalam’ complex, including the main office, media section, call centre, library, MPs’ and MLAs’ cabins, Pandit Deendayal meeting hall, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Hall and Atal Sabha Khand.

Addressing a large public gathering on the occasion, Modi said BJP workers had followed the path of public service with dedication and commitment for decades, contributing to Gujarat’s development.

He said the new ‘Namo Kamalam’ office would be more than just a building, describing it as a centre of service and a place where the problems of ordinary citizens could be addressed.

“Power, position, organisation and systems should serve only as instruments for public welfare and service,” Modi said, stressing that the government’s guiding principle should be service rather than the pursuit of power.

Referring to a cleanliness drive undertaken in Navsari district, Modi said that while government systems could carry out cleanliness activities, transformation driven by citizens was more sustainable and long-lasting. He urged people to make cleanliness a way of life rather than limiting it to campaigns.

Modi also recalled his association with Navsari and said it was always special to return to the district and meet old colleagues and dedicated party workers. Recalling the school enrolment drives, he said many children who had once joined schools during such programmes had grown up to serve the country and hold important positions.

The Prime Minister also praised Navsari’s initiatives towards making the district malnutrition-free and contributing to the goal of a TB-free Gujarat. He said the blessings of mothers and sisters and the creation of a healthy generation constituted true nation-building.

Highlighting the PM SVANidhi scheme, Modi urged BJP workers in Navsari to ensure that street vendors and other needy citizens received maximum benefits under the scheme, including collateral-free credit and access to digital payments and banking services.

He also called upon citizens to maintain cleanliness during the upcoming Ganeshotsav, Navratri and Diwali festivals and work towards making Navsari a model for the rest of the country.

‘Development politics is our nature’: CM Bhupendra Patel

Welcoming Modi to Navsari, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said the Gujarat government believed in the politics of development and that “political performance” was an important basis of its functioning.

He said Modi had established a system through which party workers remained connected with citizens at the grassroots level. The Prime Minister’s message of “Nagrik Devo Bhava” had become a guiding principle for workers, Patel said.

Patel said Gujarat had benefited from Modi’s leadership for the past 25 years and added that political stability had helped accelerate the country’s development.

Navsari made development model through public service: C.R. Patil

Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil said Navsari had achieved new milestones in organisational work and public-oriented service initiatives under the vision of “Viksit Bharat” and “Seva Hi Sangathan”.

He said the district had undertaken a six-day “Swachhata Thi Swagat” campaign ahead of Modi’s visit, with public participation involving around 50 JCB machines, 100 trucks and tractors from villages. Micro-cleaning drives were carried out across around 400 villages, including areas under Navsari Municipal Corporation, Gandevi and Vijalpore municipalities.

Patil said an adoption programme aimed at providing nutritious food to around 3,600 malnourished children had helped 460 children overcome malnutrition. He added that nutritional kits were being provided to 781 TB patients as part of the district’s campaign to become completely TB-free.

He said bank accounts had also been opened for around 13,000 underprivileged girls, with an initial deposit of ₹250 made under the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

As part of social security initiatives, pension-related forms for widowed women had been processed and approved, while more than 5,500 senior citizens and around 1,500 persons with disabilities had been connected with government welfare schemes.

Patil further said around 700 street vendors in Navsari were being provided uniform stainless-steel-body handcarts worth ₹30,000 each through public participation and the PM SVANidhi scheme. More than 70 such carts had already been distributed.

‘Namo Kamalam’ equipped with AI, green-energy features

Built in a record period of less than two years, the corporate-style Navsari district BJP office has been designed as a modern political and public-service facility.

The office, constructed at a cost of ₹10 crore, is spread over 40,000 sq ft and includes solar panels and water-harvesting facilities.

Key features include:

• AI-based systems for faster digital operations and high-speed internet connectivity
• A large auditorium capable of accommodating hundreds of workers
• Modern conference rooms
• Separate cabins for party office-bearers, officials and visiting leaders
• A library with around 1,000 books and an e-library with around 14 lakh e-books
• Dedicated cabins for MPs and MLAs
• Media cabin and call centre

Grand welcome for PM Modi in Navsari

Modi received an enthusiastic welcome on his arrival at the Navsari helipad in the afternoon.

Around 1,100 women dressed in traditional attire welcomed him with ceremonial kalash. Around 500 youths played damrus, while 30 women performed with traditional drums and percussion instruments at the Namo Kamalam premises.

The programme was also broadcast live in more than 389 villages across the district, enabling over one lakh villagers to watch the event from their homes.
