President Droupadi Murmu to visit Gujarat for three days from Sept 21

Gandhinagar: For the first time, the 72nd National Film Awards, one of the most prestigious honours in Indian cinema, will be held outside New Delhi, at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, the world’s tallest statue, an official press release said.
Spokesperson Minister Jitubhai Vaghani said the prestigious national ceremony will be presided over by President Droupadi Murmu on September 22. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also be present on the occasion.
Renowned actors, directors, producers, technicians and other distinguished artists and professionals from the Indian film industry will also participate in the ceremony. Vaghani said that, besides attending the National Film Awards ceremony at the Statue of Unity, the President will also participate in other important programmes in the state.
During the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister was briefed in detail about all the arrangements and preparations. Vaghani added that the State Government has undertaken all necessary administrative and logistical preparations to make the national-level event memorable. DeshGujarat
