ACB Gujarat nabs one for taking bribe for ration card work

Dahod: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed an individual for accepting a ₹500 bribe in Dahod on Thursday in connection with a ration card-related service at the Mamlatdar Office.
According to the ACB, the complainant had applied at the Dahod Mamlatdar Office for splitting a ration card. The accused, Sanjaybhai Bachubhai Damor, allegedly contacted the complainant and had previously accepted ₹2,500 to facilitate the work.
However, after allegedly failing to complete the work, Damor demanded an additional ₹500 from the complainant. Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant contacted the ACB through its toll-free helpline 1064.
Based on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap on September 10. During the operation, Damor allegedly demanded and accepted ₹500 from the complainant and was caught in the act. The ACB recovered the entire ₹500 bribe amount. The trap was conducted by Police Inspector S.M. Pathan of the ACB Police Station, Dahod, and his team. DeshGujarat
