Western Railway extends 18 special trains from Gujarat for festive season

Ahmedabad: Western Railway has extended the services of 18 special trains operating from Gujarat to various destinations in North India to cater to increased passenger demand during the festive season. While services of several trains have been extended until late November, additional trips have also been announced for some services.

The Udhna–Agra Cantt Special (01908) will operate until November 25, 2026, while the return Agra Cantt–Udhna Special (01907) will run until November 24. The Udhna–Prayagraj Special (04106) has been extended until November 30, with the return Prayagraj–Udhna Special (04105) running until November 29.

Additional trips of the Udhna–Subedarganj Special (04156) will operate every Tuesday and Friday from October 20 to November 27. The return Subedarganj–Udhna Special (04155) will run every Monday and Thursday from October 19 to November 26.

The Valsad–Subedarganj Special (04120) will run until November 29, with the return service (04119) operating until November 28. Another Valsad–Subedarganj Special (04178) will run until November 25, while its return service (04177) will operate until November 24.

The Asarva–Agra Cantt Special (01909) has been extended until November 24, with the return Agra Cantt–Asarva Special (01910) running until November 23. The Asarva–Kanpur Central Special (01906) will operate until December 1, while the return service (01905) will run until November 30.

Due to platform constraints at Gandhigram, the Gandhigram–Prayagraj Special (04112) will now operate as the Sabarmati–Prayagraj Special (04180) from October 4 to November 29. Similarly, the return Prayagraj–Gandhigram Special (04111) will operate as the Prayagraj–Sabarmati Special (04179) from October 3 to November 28.

Train 04179 will depart from Prayagraj at 4 pm and arrive at Sabarmati at 3.40 pm the following day. The Sabarmati–Prayagraj service will depart from Sabarmati at 5.45 pm. There will be no changes to the timings or stoppages between Fatehpur and Mehsana.

The timings of the Asarva–Kanpur Central Special (01906) at Tundla, Firozabad and Etawah have also been revised due to platform constraints. The revised timings will come into effect from October 6.

The Veraval–Prayagraj Special (04174) will operate until November 27, while the return Prayagraj–Veraval Special (04173) will run until November 26.

Booking for the extended special trains will begin on September 19, 2026, at all PRS counters and through the IRCTC website. DeshGujarat
