ACB Gujarat nabs female sub-postmaster in bribe case

Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat on Saturday caught a 59-year-old female sub-postmaster while allegedly accepting a ₹10,000 bribe in the Paldi area of the city.
According to the ACB, the accused, Pallavi Kirankumar Upadhyay, allegedly demanded ₹30,000 to not transfer the complainant’s order to the NDC Parcel Office. Following negotiations, the bribe amount was allegedly settled at ₹10,000.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the ACB and reported the demand. Based on the complaint, the agency laid a trap at the Postmaster’s Office of the Sub-Post Office in Paldi.
During the trap, the accused was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting ₹10,000. The entire bribe amount was recovered from the spot.
The trap was conducted by H.J. Patel, Police Inspector, Mehsana ACB Police Station, and his team. Further legal proceedings are underway. DeshGujarat
