NTPC Green Energy commissions 56.7 MW wind power capacity in Gujarat

Kutch: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), through its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), has commissioned an additional 56.7 MW of wind power capacity in Gujarat.

The two capacities became commercially operational from 12 midnight on September 22, 2026, according to a regulatory filing by the company.

The new capacity includes 6.3 MW from the Vanki Wind Energy Project in Nakhatrana, Kutch, and 50.4 MW from the Jamjodhpur Wind Energy Project in Jamnagar.

The 6.3 MW addition is the fourth phase of the Vanki project, while the 50.4 MW capacity is the first phase of the Jamjodhpur project.

Both projects are part of the 1,050 MW wind component of the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project and are being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NGEL.

With the latest addition, the installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group has increased from 10,920.53 MW to 10,977.23 MW.

The latest commissioning follows another addition at the Vanki project. Its 9.45 MW third-phase capacity was declared commercially operational on September 19, 2026. DeshGujarat
