Goldy Brar gang operative Aarif alias ‘Pistol’ arrested in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A joint team of the Ahmedabad Crime Branch, Ahmedabad Rural Special Operations Group (SOG) and Delhi Police arrested Aarif alias ‘Pistol’, an alleged operative of the Goldy Brar gang, from Vejalpur in a late-night operation, police said.

Aarif was wanted in connection with more than 11 serious criminal cases, including attempted murder, firing and extortion. According to the police, he was arrested following intelligence-based operations conducted across multiple locations to track him.

Investigators said Aarif allegedly served as an important operational link for the syndicate and was involved in facilitating threat calls and extortion activities allegedly operated through Dubai on behalf of Brar.

Police said Aarif had been evading law enforcement by frequently changing his hideouts and concealing his identity. The Delhi Police Special Cell had also been searching for him in connection with the alleged extortion network.

His arrest is expected to help investigators trace the gang’s local associates and financial channels. A joint interrogation of the accused is currently underway, police said. DeshGujarat
