DEO issues notice to Maninagar school over non-academic activities

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad City District Education Officer (DEO) has issued a show-cause notice to Shri Jaymanben Dave and Sheth Shri Hiralal Kanya Vidyalaya in Maninagar following allegations that the recognised school campus was being used for commercial and other non-academic activities, including garba practice.
Issued on Friday, the notice seeks details from the school management on whether any rent, fees, donations or other charges were collected for such activities, along with relevant accounts and receipts. The management has also been asked to clarify whether these activities had any impact on students, teachers or the school’s regular academic functioning. DeshGujarat
