Fire breaks out at Jyoti CNC factory in Rajkot

Rajkot: A fire broke out at the facility of one of the country’s largest CNC machine tool manufacturers, Jyoti CNC, in Metoda GIDC, a major industrial area in Rajkot, during the morning hours.

Thick smoke was seen billowing from the factory premises, following which the fire brigade was alerted. Firefighters promptly reached the site and launched operations to contain the blaze.

The fire broke out in the company’s main assembly unit. Firefighters used water cannons to battle the flames and brought the situation under control after several hours of efforts. The timely intervention prevented the fire from spreading to other sections of the factory, averting a major incident.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. A short circuit is suspected to have triggered the blaze, although officials have not confirmed the cause.
