Two Killed After Range Rover Hits Stray Bull on Bharatmala Highway

Tharad: Two young men were killed and another was critically injured after a Range Rover collided with a bull and crashed into a road divider on the Bharatmala Highway near Tharad early Sunday morning.

The accident occurred between 4:00 am and 4:15 am near Malpur on the Tharad-Deesa Highway, when a bull suddenly crossed the path of the Range Rover (GJ03DD0788), which was travelling from Rajkot towards Rajasthan.

Following the collision with the animal, the vehicle crashed into the road divider with significant force. The impact severely damaged the car, scattering debris and human remains across the road.

People present at the scene alerted the 108 emergency service, following which all three occupants were taken to hospital. Medical examination at Tharad Civil Hospital confirmed the deaths of Divyajit of Amreli and Yuvrajsinh of Rajkot. Their bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.

The third occupant, Hardipsinh of Rajkot, was found alive and critically injured. He was initially treated at the hospital and later referred to Ahmedabad for further treatment.

The accident has once again drawn attention to the risks posed by stray cattle on highways, particularly on high-speed road corridors where sudden movement of animals can lead to serious crashes.
