National Unity Parade in Ekta Nagar: Free online registration open for citizens

Rajpipla: The National Unity Day 2026 celebrations will be held at Ekta Nagar on October 30 and 31 to mark the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The main National Unity Parade will be held on October 31 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The celebrations will feature a grand parade involving personnel from police and paramilitary forces, state police contingents, artists and bands from across the country. The event will showcase India’s cultural diversity, folk traditions and the spirit of ‘Unity in Diversity’.

Around 10,000 personnel from police and paramilitary forces are expected to participate in the parade, while nearly 4,700 artists from different states will present cultural performances. The Indian Air Force will also conduct a flypast, while various bands will perform patriotic music. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the gathering.

The parade is proposed to begin at the Narmada Mata Statue and conclude at the Replica Garden near the SRP Colony.

Citizens can attend the parade free of cost

The administration has also opened the National Unity Parade to citizens as part of efforts to encourage public participation. People can register online through rashtriyaektadiwas.com and submit the required details and documents.

After registration, a confirmation or entry pass will be sent to the registered email address. Entry to the celebrations will be free, with registrations being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dome City accommodation for visitors

The Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) also plans to set up a special ‘Dome City’ at Ekta Nagar to accommodate tourists visiting for the National Unity Day and Bharat Parv 2026 celebrations.

Bharat Parv is scheduled to be held from October 29 to November 15, 2026. Visitors will be able to book different accommodation options at Dome City, subject to availability.

Amit Arora, CEO of the Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority, appealed to citizens to participate in the celebrations and witness the National Unity Parade.

He said the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Patel is being celebrated on a grand scale at Ekta Nagar and that citizens have been given an opportunity to participate in the parade. He also urged people to register for the event, adding that participation is free and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
