GHCL commences commercial production of bromine at Gujarat plant

Ahmedabad: GHCL Limited has commenced commercial production of liquid bromine at its facility in Kathivadar village in Gujarat’s Amreli district, effective October 12, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The new product, liquid bromine (Br₂), has an annual production capacity of 2,800 metric tonnes (MT), the company said.
The product falls under the chemicals and commodity chemicals category and will cater to both domestic and international markets, according to the filing.
GHCL informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited about the commencement of production under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. DeshGujarat
