Parking Woes at LVP Heritage Garba in Vadodara Leave Khelaiyas Frustrated
October 16, 2026
Vadodara: Poor parking arrangements at Vadodara’s renowned LVP Heritage Garba at Lakshmi Vilas Palace have triggered anger among participants, with a dispute reportedly leading to a confrontation with security personnel, a protest by khelaiyas and traffic congestion on a main road near the venue.
Videos of the incident have circulated on social media, showing participants expressing frustration over the lack of adequate parking facilities despite paying thousands of rupees for passes. Some participants reportedly honked their vehicle horns together to register their protest.
Participants alleged that parking staff and security personnel, including bouncers, behaved aggressively during the dispute. They also complained that inadequate parking arrangements forced them to park their vehicles at inconvenient locations and walk around 1 to 1.5 km to reach the Garba venue.
The situation reportedly escalated into an argument between participants and security personnel, disrupting traffic on the main road near the venue.
Participants questioned why adequate parking facilities had not been provided despite the high cost of passes. They demanded that the organisers take immediate steps to improve parking and traffic management and prevent similar incidents during the remaining Garba nights.
The incident has also raised questions about the role of the Vadodara Traffic Police in managing congestion and preventing roadside parking near major Garba venues. DeshGujarat
