Jamnagar: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Anant Ambani and Radhika Ambani attended the Navratri Ashtami celebrations at Reliance Greens in Jamnagar with employees and their families, praising the community’s festive spirit, cultural traditions and dedication to work.
Recalling his long association with Jamnagar, Mukesh Ambani said he and his wife Nita first visited the facility in 1995, more than 30 years ago. Expressing surprise at the scale of the celebrations, he congratulated the younger generation for organising the event.
“Many, many congratulations to the next generation,” he said, encouraging young members of the Reliance family to focus on education and make their parents and the organisation proud. “I want all the children to study more, make your parents proud and make Reliance proud. You have to go very far in life,” he said.
Mukesh Ambani also expressed confidence in the younger generation, noting that people from Jamnagar had made their mark across the world. He prayed to Maa Amba for the continued growth of employees, their families and Reliance.
The celebrations also coincided with the birthday of Radhika Merchant Ambani, whom Mukesh Ambani described as someone who loves Jamnagar. Extending festive greetings on behalf of Nita, Akash, Isha and Anant Ambani, he wished employees and their families good health, learning and progress. The gathering also joined in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Radhika.
Nita Ambani, meanwhile, praised the employees and their families for embracing traditional Indian attire, particularly Bandhani and Leheriya outfits.
“Everyone looks so lovely. It makes me very happy to see you all dressed so beautifully,” she said, appreciating the effort people had put into preparing for the celebrations.
Highlighting the cultural significance of Navratri, she said the festival was an opportunity to wear traditional clothes and seek the blessings of Maa Amba and Maa Durga. She also urged families to take care of their elders and encourage their children to excel.
“My wish is that Maa Amba and Maa Durga keep you all happy, help your children progress, and that you take care of your elders,” Nita Ambani said. She added that she was happy to see the Reliance Greens community celebrating together and encouraged everyone to help Reliance grow and bring pride to India.
Anant Ambani kept his address brief, urging employees to enjoy the festivities rather than spend too much time listening to speeches.
“I will not speak for long. I will give you the opportunity to play Dandiya and Garba. Just enjoy yourselves,” he said.
On the occasion of Ashtami, Anant Ambani also prayed for peace in every household, good health and happiness for all. He encouraged the gathering to seek Maa Amba’s blessings and extended his Navratri wishes to the community.
Anant also praised the workforce’s commitment, pointing out that employees continued to report for their morning shifts despite dancing and celebrating late into the night.
“I see every day that you dance and sing until 2 am, and then no one misses their morning shift,” he said, appreciating their dedication while encouraging them to continue enjoying the festivities.
The addresses concluded with festive greetings and chants of ‘Jai Ambe’ and ‘Jai Shri Krishna’, as the Ambani family joined the Reliance Greens community in celebrating Navratri. DeshGujarat
