AMC to host special Garba at Kankaria Lakefront on Oct 24

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will organise a special Garba event at the Kankaria Lakefront on Saturday, October 24, with around 1,000 persons with disabilities expected to participate in wheelchairs.
The event, scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm, will bring together participants from Ahmedabad and surrounding areas to celebrate the festive spirit of Navratri. Participants will perform Garba in traditional attire while seated in their wheelchairs. A large number of city residents are also expected to attend.
Standing Committee Chairman Kamleshbhai Patel announced the event during the committee’s weekly meeting on Thursday. He said the programme would be organised following the renovation of the Kankaria complex and would provide an opportunity for citizens, including persons with disabilities, to participate in the festive celebrations.
