Over 50 fall ill after cholera vaccination in a company organized medical camp in Central Gujarat

Nadiad: Over 50 people fell ill after reportedly being vaccinated for cholera in a medical camp organized by a private agro processing unit in Varsola village under Mahmedabad taluka of Kheda district in central Gujarat today.
The camp was organized by ETC Agro Processing India Pvt Ltd which is situated near the same village beside Nadiad Mahemadabad road and manufactures processed wheat items, maida and wheat flour.
Those who were given the vaccination shots started complaining of pain in the stomach and nausea. Later many of them were hospitalized in Nadiad with complaints of loose motion and vomiting.
At least three of them in more serious condition were later shifted to the civil hospital in Ahmedabad.
The district authorities were investigating the incident and checking whether the vaccines used in the camp were used post expiry date.
