Goondagiri by a group of 50-100 directed by Congress, Hardik, AAP, but others peacefully completed the function: Vaghani

Surat: Gujarat BJP president Jitubhai Vaghani today in a statement issued here today evening blamed Congress, Hardik and AAP for creating “scenes of goondagiri and violence” in a public function organized by Patidar Abhivadan Samiti.

“The community will never forgive violence and goondagiri displayed by Congress, Hardik and AAP at Patidar community function organized by Patidar Abhivadan Samiti in Gandhi’s Gujarat today, ” Vaghani said in a statement.

“A group of 50-100 persons on directives of Congress, Hardik and AAP hurled chairs in air, took an electrician in ban and managed to shut down the lights. They tried to create the atmosphere of fear this way. I want to congratulate all those from Patidar community present there who peacefully completed the function in disciplined manner and failed the attempts of stalling the function. At the same time BJP government also displayed tolerance,” the statement said.

When Amit Shah, Rupani and other leaders arrived, they were extended grand welcome by torch lights of mobile phones. Slogans like Jay Sardar … Jay Patidar… Bharat Matani Jay were also chanted, Vaghani said. Later ruckus was created on direction of Hardik, Congress and AAP, he added.

“The people have now clearly seen motives of Congress and Hardik. What Congress and Hardik’s violent group did today in a function makes it clearl that Congress wants to push Gujarat to violence. Patidar community’s sisters and daughters were present in this function in large number. Congress and Hardik supporters tried to create ruckus without any concern about their safety.”

Vaghani said BJP family heartily thanks leaders of Patidar community and all community members for felicitation of political leadership in today by Patidar business community, leader and social servants. He said Patidar community has taken a brave and admirable step against negative elements by felicitating the BJP leadership.
