Gujarat Budget: New engineering college at Dholka, Sainik schools at Veraval and Surat

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today in its budget made announcement of two new Sainik Schools at Veraval and Surat. Finance Minister Nitin Patel in his budget speech also announced 30 new government schools. Announcement was also made to set up a new engineering college on public private partnership model at Dholka in Ahmedabad district which is the constituency of education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama. The finance minister also announced that female students in standard 9-12 in 5,347 granted schools the state will get 100% fee waiver. This announcement will benefit as many as 7,44,152 female students. State students who go abroad to get higher education in foreign universities will get interest assistance during moratorium period. 2400 class rooms of 1200 primary schools will be given ICT boost in standard 7th and 8th under Digital School project.
