Govt wants to withdraw security given to Teesta Setalvad, SAR Geelani

New Delhi: The government wants to withdraw the security of controversial foreign-funded NGO operator Teesta Setavad who is accused of riot victim fund embezzlement. The government is likely to approach the court for this purpose. According to a report in Hindustan Times the government also wants to withdraw security provided to three Allahabad high court judges who pronounced the Ram Janmabhoomi verdict and SAR Geelani who has been acquitted in parliament attack case. Teesta and others were provided guards as per court orders. Their cover and scale of threat will be discussed in the meeting of Protection Revive Group, the report further said.
