Some changes in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarat visit schedule, will reach Kutch on May 22

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming Gujarat visit schedule next week has seen some change. The Prime Minister would reach Kutch directly from Delhi on May 22, a day prior to what was reported earlier.

Spokesperson of ruling BJP Bharatbhai Pandya today said PM Modi would now arrive at Bhachau in Kutch district on May 22 instead of earlier planned May 23.

‘PM Modi will dedicate Bhachau pumping station of Narmada water project at Lodhida village on May 22 and will also participate in an event of Kandla Port Trust the same day. He will then reach Gandhinagar via Ahmedabad for night-stay at Raj Bhavan and on the next day ie May 23 after participating in the event of African Development Bank at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar he would leave for Delhi,’ the BJP spokesperson said.

He said that the PM would also meet BJP leaders sometime in the night of May 22 or on May 23. ‘This meeting has not been finalized officially as yet,’ he said.

Earlier, PM Modi was scheduled to visit Kutch on May 23 after participating in ADB event in Gandhinagar the same day and was to leave for Delhi from Bhachau itself.

The Narmada water supply had reached Rapar of Kutch in April 2011 during the tenure of Modi as CM of Gujarat. Now with the inauguration of pumping station in Lodhida the water of Narmada would reach the end points of the district. Over one lakh people are likely to attend the event at Lodhida.

This would be overall 12 th visit of Modi since his becoming PM and ninth in last around 10 months while the third one this year.
