Centre approves Rs 730.90 crore assistance for Narmada canal construction: Gujarat govt conveys thanks to PM

Gandhinagar: The government of India has approved Rs 730.90 crore assistance for construction of Sardar Sarovar Narmada project canal network under the irrigation scheme, said Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel today.
Nitin said, ‘the Centre has selected 99 projects for priority completion across the country. Narmada project has been placed in this list. The Centre has approved Rs 1,484.391 crore long term irrigation fund loan at lower interest rate of 6% under the Long Term Irrigation Fund(LTIF) scheme. This will speed up construction of canals of Narmada project.’
Nitin conveyed thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for all kinds of of help to Gujarat for completion of Narmada project.
