Gandhinagar: State Sports minister Ishwar Parmar has announced a synthetic track of international standards in Dang district at a cost of Rs 7.50 crore along with a hockey ground. The track will be named after Sarita Gayakwad who recently won gold in Asian Games 2018.
– Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) Vijay Nehra has taken a decision to appoint prabharis of all 48 wards in city. Each prabhari (municipal official) will be responsible for his/her ward and directly report to Deputy Commissioner regarding that.
– Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani is in Delhi to attend the national executive meeting of BJP.
– Congress leader and former minister Chandrikaben Chudasama’s young son passed away due to heart attack.

– BJP councilor of Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) Nancy Sumra has been sent to jail after her arrest by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) yesterday in bribery case. Surat district court rejected remand plea of ACB and sent Nancy to judicial custody. Nancy’s brother and father were also arrested in this bribery case. They had demanded Rs 75,000 bribe money from a builder. They had received Rs 25,000 in first installment. They were caught while receiving second installment of Rs 55,000. Phone call was made from Nancy’s cell phone.
– We are ready to construct underpass at NH-48 so that runway of Vadodara airport can be extended. A consultant for submitting a detailed report will be appointed for the same, said union minister of state Mansukh Mandaviya.
– After Tappar dam in Kutch, Dholidhaja dam in Surendranagar and Machhu dam in Morbi, now Aaji dam of Rajkot has received Narmada water. Aaji had water enough for just 20-day supply. Now under SAUNI project, Aaji has been supplied Narmada water.
