March 08, 2019
Gandhinagar: Senior BJP leader and Minister Kunvarji Bavaliya, who was the first to leave Congress after last assembly election and join the ruling party, today claimed that after resignation of Manavdar MLA Jawahar Chavda, 4 to 5 more MLAs from the main opposition party would also leave it soon.
Speaking to media persons he said that Chavda has also left the party due to ignore of senior leaders like him.
‘Congress MLAs are leaving the party as they were not getting proper respect in it. Specially the seniors were not getting the respect due to them. I personally know Chavda and his family. He was also angry with the party leadership for quite a long time and his resignation was the result of it,’ he said.
‘There were other MLAs of the party who were angry and thinking of leaving the party. There were at least 4 to 5 of them. Somabhai and Vimalbhai Chudasama were also among them,’ he said.
To a query he said that he was not going to contest the LS polls but would take up whatever responsibility the party gives him for the election.
