Rajkot: Doctors representing five medical branches are going to start medical consulting at under-construction All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot from today. Interviews for 20 posts of non academic senior resident doctors were conducted last week and participated by over 50 MD and MS doctors. Appointment of 17 doctors was announced for various departments of Rajkot AIIMS.

With this strength of doctors in place, OPD is going to be started , while operation theaters are going to be started at later stage when the building construction is over. The patients are likely to be benefit from a new modern laboratory which has been constructed. Consulting fee of just Rs. 10 will be effective. AIIMS has other facilities like online appointment, waiting lounge, councellers for assistance in case file services and more.
