A new under bridge inaugurated in Rajkot named after CDS General Bipin Rawat

Rajkot: Gujarat Chief Minister today e dedicated a newly constructed under bridge in Lakshmi Nagar area of Rajkot city and named it after CDS General Bipin Rawat who passed away in helicopter accident recently. Rs. 42.38 crore under bridge will be called as Shahid CDS Bipin Rawat bridge.
The new bridge will ease traffic and give relief to about six lakh people. A four-lane railway under bridge has 7.50 meter width for vehicular traffic on its both sides. A 4.50 meter height can accommodate school buses and industrial area traffic smoothly. There’s a separate pathway for cyclists. A system has been set up for discharge of rain water during monsoons. The bridge is part of State government’s programme for making the cities free from railway crossings. DeshGujarat
